Year 5&6 Dodgeball Tournament

Wednesday 19th October 2016 ………….Inspire Sports Village

A very excited and prepared group of year 5&6 children arrive at Inspire sports village for our hugely anticipated tournament. Our boys and girls had been training every day for 3 weeks and felt really confident going into this competition. Our first game we played St.Joesphs and beat them 3-0 and our standout performs in this match were Hunain and Haleema who’s Dodeging and throwing skills were superb. Our next 2 matches were against Ramridge and Wigmore and we managed a draw and win, Khushal was excellent in these games. Our last match was against Farley which was another draw and we had Nathan left at the end all on his own against 5 of their players and he did superbly for us.

We made in through to the Quarter Finals where we played Bushmead and it was safe to say that we just came up against a better team on the day and they beat us 3-0.

Our children learnt a lot from this experience and will go into next year’s tournament with more know-how and belief. Our sportsmanship shone throughout and they were a real credit to Beechwood Primary School.

A Big Thank you toKhushal Ahmadzal, Nathan Davis, Armaan Mahmood, Hunain Zakir, Haleema Mehmood, Eimaan Sabir, Zunaira Malik, Hassan Kazmi & Hassena Sydea.

Here are our year 2 students at their first KS1 festival of the year. They took part in Hockey, Rugby, Benchball and Basketball which are few of the invasion games they will be learning this year in PE. Their behaviour was impeccable and they showed great sportsmanship and respect to everybody taking part.
