School Events 2016 - 2017

E-Safety Week

The whole school took part in E-Safety week. We have been learning about the e-safety objectives for each year group. Some year groups completed homework on e-safety while others completed work in class. Below are a few examples.

Young Voices 2017

On Tuesday 17th January, some of our year 4,5 and 6 children went to the O2 in London to take part in Young Voices. It was an amaing, fun filled day and the children really made Beechwood Proud.

Spelling Bee and Maths competitions

It has been a very busy couple of weeks at school this January. Children in all classes have been competing to become their class spelling or maths champion. Each class's champion then competed to become year group champion.

On Tuesday 17th January 2017, we had the champions from another school come to compete against use for teh maths championship. Sadly, our Beechwood children were beaten but they tried their best and never gave up.

We will have the inter school spelling bee later this term.

Each of the class champions will recieve a medal to celebrate their achievement.

Shakespeare Theatre Company

In the 2nd half of Autumn term, Year 5 are studying the play Macbeth. To excite and interest the children in their new topic, they had a visit from the Shakespeare theatre group who performed Macbeth. This performance was brilliant and interactive. The children were given parts to perform and lines to say along with adding in sound effects.
